My name is Jackson Rankin, I am a student at Texas State University, and I am a beginner at playing the guitar. I chose this topic because I wanted to provide a beginner’s perspective to learning how to play the guitar that was easy for beginners to follow.   

I hope to explore how beginners can get started with guitars, the basic techniques, and tips and tricks to make learning easier. My core audience is guitar players with little to no experience with playing but are interested in getting better. 

I will make sure to incorporate other elements such as links to inexpensive equipment, links to chatroom where other beginners can share helpful tips, and online videos for those who need a more in depth look at a particular lesson.
